Job Description
Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner for a well-established manufacturing business based in Hull, known for delivering high-quality products and continuous investment in innovation and operational excellence.
As part of the continued investment and growth, they are seeking to recruit a commercially focused Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the business.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for leading the finance function and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, commercial finance and performance management across the business.
Duties to include:
*
Full autonomy over the Central Finance, Commercial Finance and Transactional functions
*
Provision of Commercial Finance information including margin reporting and FP&A
*
Oversee and leading on business partnering activities
*
Managing a team including development and succession planning
*
Review of the monthly Management Accounts including providing commentary
*
Treasury management; including cashflow forecasting
*
Management of annual corporation tax process
*
External stakeholder management including the running of the annual audit process
*
Lead the Budgeting process
About You:
*
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
*
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable
*
Commercially minded with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*
Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally and challenge constructively
*
Hands-on and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
