Financial Controller – 6 Month FTC
Location: Grimsby
Salary: to £50k
Our client, a successful SME business based in Grimsby, are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join on a 6-month fixed term contract.
Acting as the number two in finance, you will lead a small team while managing the business’s financial control, reporting and forecasting, while acting as a finance business partner to key stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Manage month-end and year-end close
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
Act as a Business Partner to non-finance leaders to provide insight and support decision-making
Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team
Ensure robust controls and reconciliations are in placeAbout you:
Part Qualified, Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables
Previous experience in project accounting is preferred but not essential
Confident communicator, able to engage with all levels of the business
