Financial Controller - Blackburn - Accommodation Available | Potential hybrid working
Fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Financial Controller to join a leading 4-star hotel group in Blackburn, offering free accommodation during the week and potential hybrid working.
As the Financial Controller at this prestigious property, you'll be a key member of the senior management team, overseeing all aspects of finance and supporting the General Manager in driving business performance. Lead the hotel's annual budget process alongside the General Manager
* Monitor and control costs, auditing financial procedures and training management teams
* Produce monthly capex and period-end reports
* Manage payroll, accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and ledger control
* Oversee the purchase ledger and ensure timely supplier payments
* Forecast business performance accurately and consistently
* Line manage and develop the finance team
* Provide coaching and mentorship across the management structureWhat we're looking for
A strong background in hotel or hospitality finance
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* A hands-on approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
* The ability to build trust and drive engagement across departments
