Job Description
A commercially focused Financial Controller is required at short notice to join a business in Huddersfield. Following a departmental restructuring, the business is seeking an experienced finance professional to provide oversight and support across key areas of the finance function.
This is a hands-on role with a mix of commercially focused responsibilities and technical accounting.
Key responsibilities:
Lead financial forecasting and planning, including financial modelling for various scenarios
Manage and support the year-end audit process
Line manages a qualified accountant, providing guidance and development
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and operational efficiencySalary: £60,000 - £80,000
The successful candidate will combine technical accounting expertise with a strong commercial outlook. Strong Excel skills and the ability to hit the ground running in a mid-sized organization are essential.
This position could suit either a qualified accountant, or someone qualified by experience. It offers the opportunity to step into a pivotal role with immediate impact in a growing business.
