Chase & Holland are proud to be partnering exclusively with a dynamic and fast-growing SME manufacturing company in Doncaster, on the lookout for a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Controller to join their leadership team.

As Financial Controller, you’ll own the end-to-end finance function, driving accuracy, insight, and control. Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the finance strategy and supporting commercial decision-making.
You’ll have full responsibility for:
Month-end close, management accounts, and group consolidation
Preparing insightful MI and board packs that go beyond the numbers
Leading on budgeting, forecasting, and performance commentary
Ensuring compliance with all statutory and audit requirements (Tax, VAT, R&D, etc.)
Managing the annual audit process and liaising with external advisors
Improving systems, controls, and ERP efficiency to enhance accuracy and automation
Developing KPI dashboards and delivering actionable insights
Supporting on intercompany transactions, forex, and cross-border accounting
Leading and mentoring a small, capable finance teamAbout you
You’ll be a qualified (or nearly qualified) accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA with solid technical accounting knowledge and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in multi-entity consolidation and group reporting
Skilled in improving finance processes and internal controls
Advanced in Excel and confident with ERP systems and data analysis
Commercially sharp, someone who links numbers to performance and strategy
Naturally detail-focused, organised, and hands-on
Comfortable in a fast paced, scaling SME environment
Ideally from a manufacturing, engineering, or distribution backgroundWhy this role?
