Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a leading international manufacturing business based in South Yorkshire. This role will be based in Doncaster on a hybrid basis.
This Financial Controller role is focused on operational finance across multiple sites in Europe, with responsibility for leading a small team and partnering closely with the senior leadership team. It offers the opportunity to make an impact on financial performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making in a purpose-led organisation.
What will you be doing
Business partnering with operational leadership across multiple sites
Leading and developing the European Operations Finance team
Contributing to the Finance Leadership Team and wider strategic initiatives
Delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance
Driving improvements in controls, audit, and cost management
Overseeing capital expenditure projects and post‑completion reviews
Supporting statutory accounts and Health & Safety strategy through financial oversight What skills are we looking for
Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong business acumen and ability to add value through financial insight
Proven leadership skills with experience managing a finance team
High energy, adaptable, and comfortable with occasional travel
Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance
Ability to influence stakeholders and operate as a trusted business partner What's on offer
Basic Salary of £75,000- £85,000, dependent on experience
