Job Description

Copello are supporting a leading technology and engineering organisation in the search for a Financial Controller to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of financial reporting, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision-making within a dynamic, project-led environment.

What you’ll do

  * 

    Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across AR, AP, general ledger, fixed assets and inventory.

  * 

    Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial reports and statements.

  * 

    Manage cashflow, treasury activities and financial controls.

  * 

    Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.

  * 

    Manage internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance and governance.

  * 

    Oversee tax-related matters, including VAT.

  * 

    Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and systems.

  * 

    Lead and develop the financial reporting team.

What you’ll bring

  * 

    Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  * 

    Strong experience in financial reporting within a corporate or complex environment.

  * 

    Proven experience reporting into group structures.

  * 

    Excellent understanding of accounting principles, controls and best practice.

  * 

    Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel capability.

  * 

    Strong analytical mindset with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
