JOB PURPOSE
As Fractional Financial Controller you will play a key role in supporting the Founder and Fractional CFO in managing multiple client portfolios. This is an exciting opportunity to work with international businesses.
VFM has a growing portfolio and recently supported a SAAS business through a multimillion-pound acquisition.
This permanent and full-time role will be part of the founding team and has the opportunity to shape the foundations of a company with ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support business goals.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with industry regulations and standards.
* Cost Control: Monitor and manage expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
* Risk Management: Assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s interests.
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for financial matters, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software (Xero a must) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in portfolio management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
