Financial Controller | Permanent Appointment
£45,000 - £48,000 per annum | Negotiable, depending upon experience
Based in the Perth area | Full-time role
Our client, a well-established organisation in the Manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance professional to join their team. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient & accurate financial operations, with a strong focus on both the general finance functions and production cost management.
Key responsibilities include:
· Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Assisting with journal entries, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing monthly accounts and KPIs.
· Team Leadership: Managing and supporting the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and payroll teams, including training and performance reviews.
· Cash Flow & Compliance: Managing cash flow reporting, VAT returns, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and export documentation.
· Production Cost Control: Reviewing and managing production stock adjustments, preparing monthly production cost sheets, and assisting with production site recoveries and accurate recording of goods received.
· System & HR Support: Assisting with the implementation of technology in production and supporting the Finance Director
The ideal candidate will hold a degree or HND in Accounting/equivalent, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be proficient in Excel and computerised accounting packages, and demonstrate the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. They must also be a team player with a practical, common-sense approach and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
