Job Description
Axon Moore are proud to be working in partnership with a leading business and brand based near Wigan in the recruitment of a Financial Controller.
This is a high-profile role offering significant autonomy and ownership, ideal for a motivated, qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
The successful candidate will lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and collaborating closely with senior stakeholders to support and enhance commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the production of monthly management accounts, providing insightful analysis.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes across all departments.
Ensure compliance with financial controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
Act as a strategic partner to operational and commercial teams.
Develop and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
Maintain ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring timely reconciliations and accuracy.
Present financial results and insights to senior leadership and the board.
Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
Contribute to strategic initiatives, investment planning, and business case development.
Direct line management of one.
Support ad hoc projects aligned with the business’s growth plans.
