This is a hands-on Financial Controller role overseeing two UK businesses, reporting to the MD and supporting the Group FD. The role blends core finance responsibilities with commercial input, helping drive profitability, growth, and strategic decision-making.

Description
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure efficient cash flow management and financial planning for the organisation.
Provide guidance on cost control and profitability improvements within the business.
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
Monitor and ensure compliance with financial laws and internal policies.
Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team to achieve departmental goals.
Collaborate with other departments to support business growth and operational efficiency.Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
A solid background in accounting and finance within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
