To support this trajectory the business is seeking to appoint a commercially driven and strategically minded Financial Controller to join its senior leadership team, who aspires of becoming a Finance Director. This appointment represents a pivotal opportunity for a finance professional to play a key role in shaping the financial future of the organisation and will be positioned for clear and structured progression into a Finance Director role. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Controller will assume full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the finance function including ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of all financial reporting, while also delivering high-quality commercial insight to support strategic decision-making and performance across the business. A key objective of the role is to take ownership of the accounting operation, ensuring the delivery of commercial information alongside robust financial controls and compliance, while working closely with the CFO to embed a culture of continuous improvement, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving initiatives that deliver long-term value to the organisation. Key Responsibilities: * Full oversight of finance function * Delivery of commercial financial analysis, including margin reporting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) * Ownership of business partnering initiatives * Management and development of the finance team, with a focus on succession planning * Review and commentary on monthly management accounts * Treasury management, including cash flow forecasting * Oversight of the annual corporation tax process * Management of external stakeholder relationships, including coordination of the annual audit * Leadership of the annual budgeting process Person Specification: * Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) * Prior experience within a manufacturing environment is highly advantageous * Strong commercial acumen, with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities Benefits: * 26 days AL + 8 BH * Company Pension Contribution * Progression to FD * Private Medical Insurance For further information or a private and confidential conversation either for this specific opportunity or your personal job search please contact Jack Curtis on (phone number removed) or (phone number removed).
