Financial Controller - FMCG / Retail Distribution
Ascot, Berkshire | Hybrid - Office-Based
£75,000-£80,000 (neg DOE) + Bonus & Benefits
We are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a high-growth FMCG / retail distribution business. Reporting to the senior leadership team, the Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, from compliance and reporting to strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
Lead daily finance operations: AP/AR, payroll, and cash flow management
Produce management accounts, financial statements, and board reports
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, and audit requirements
Develop and lead a finance team of three
Support commercial negotiations, pricing, and contract reviews
Implement currency risk management for USD purchases
About you:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
At least 5 years' experience in a senior finance leadership role
Experience managing and developing finance teams
Strong technical accounting skills with commercial awareness
FMCG, retail, or distribution sector experience desirable
Benefits:
