Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing business and take ownership of all accounting, compliance, and treasury matters. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on role where you will manage a small finance team while ensuring the company’s financial health and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full accounting function, including financial statements, management accounts, and annual audits.
Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including corporation tax and VAT returns.
Manage cash flow and optimise liquidity to maintain financial stability.
Lead, support, and develop a small team to foster a high-performing culture.
Implement and enhance financial systems, processes, and policies.
Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis for senior leadership.
Partner with stakeholders across the business to support decision-making and improve financial performance.About You
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
Background in SME/growth environments, ideally with exposure to ecommerce and/or manufacturing.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent analytical skills.
Experienced leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
