Financial Controller – Loughborough – £65,000 – £75,000
We’re working with a fast-growing organisation to appoint a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a broad, business-facing role in a private equity-backed group with a strong performance track record and ambitious growth plans.
The RoleThis is not a siloed reporting role. As Financial Controller, you will lead a small finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and a smooth month-end process. You will also oversee transactional finance and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

You will work closely with operational leaders to provide clear financial insight, help shape decisions, and drive performance. About YouWe are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience. You may be practice trained and now building on your experience in industry, or you may come from an established industry background with strong business partnering experience.
You should bring:
A solid technical understanding and strong attention to detail
Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
The ability to communicate with and influence non-finance stakeholders
Proven business partnering skills, with an interest in how finance drives performance
A proactive mindset and appetite to improve processes and add value
This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership, engaging cross-functionally, and influencing change, not just closing the books.
