Role: Financial Controller
Location: Hove
Hours: Full time
Pay: £55,000 per annum plus benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join one of our longstanding clients, a dynamic and growing business based in Hove. This is a key leadership role within the business, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance and support ongoing growth.

The Requirements:
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE with relevant experience
Strong track record in producing full monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Experience preparing statutory accounts and liaising with auditors
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Sage
Previous involvement in implementing new accounting systems and optimising processes
Proven experience in leading and developing a finance team
Excellent attention to detail, commercial acumen, and strong communication skills
Motor trade experience is desirable
The Role:
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
Prepare statutory accounts in line with UK accounting standards
Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures across the group
Lead the implementation of a new accounting system, ensuring smooth migration and integration
Oversee and enhance Sage accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
Manage, mentor, and support the accounts team to maintain high standards and build capability
Partner with the CEO and senior management to deliver financial insight and analysis for decision-making
Act as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other stakeholders
Oversee cash flow forecasting and ensure funding for operations
Support compliance with FCA and other regulatory requirements
