Job Description
We're working with a young and vibrant business in the premium spirits sector, experiencing significant growth and diversification across bottling, distilling, and new product innovation. As part of their continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Financial Controller to join the senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial future.
You will be a central part of the senior management team taking full ownership of the finance function and contributing to strategic decision-making. This is a broad role offering both operational responsibility and the chance to influence the direction of the business as it grows.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Managing cashflow, working capital, and funding strategies.
* Supporting the leadership team with commercial insights and data-driven decision-making.
* Ensuring compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
* Implementing and evolving financial systems, processes, and controls suitable for a scaling business.
* Partnering across the business to evaluate growth opportunities and pricing strategies.
* Managing external relationships including banks, auditors, and advisors.
* Working closely with private equity stakeholders and their finance teams.
Preferred Background
* Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
* Experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader, ideally in a manufacturing, FMCG, or product-led environment.
* Sector experience in spirits, beverages, or wider alcohol is a bonus (not essential).
* Strong commercial mindset with a track record of supporting business growth.
* Excellent communicator with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
