About the Finishing Operative (Rumbling) Role
As a Finishing Operative (Rumbling), you will be responsible for a variety of finishing and inspection operations, including:
Operating barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment
Preparing metallic surfaces for further processing, such as anodising and passivation
Masking components to ensure bores, holes, and slots are free from abrasive media
Undertaking inspection of parts
Packing parts for internal transport and storage
Interpreting part numbers, drawing issue numbers, relevant ADRs, process specifications, and finishes
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for the Finishing Operative (Rumbling) role will have:
A basic understanding of measuring equipment
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations related to hazardous substances
A basic manufacturing or engineering background
