Cell Leader – Finishing Department
Location: Denham | Salary: £46,000 to £48,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity
We are working with a leading UK-based aerospace manufacturer who are seeking a Cell Leader to join their Finishing Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production professional with strong leadership skills to take on a role with significant responsibility, guiding and mentoring a team in a fast-paced and high-quality environment.
Role Responsibilities
Supervise, support, and develop a skilled production team.
Provide technical expertise, ensuring quality and compliance across operations.
Develop and monitor departmental KPIs and processes, driving continuous improvement.
Carry out inspections, audits, and self-checks of work undertaken.
Manage workload planning to ensure alignment with production targets.
Oversee recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.
Conduct regular performance reviews, appraisals, and wellbeing check-ins.
Hold team meetings to maintain communication and engagement.
Candidate Profile
Proven leadership and team management experience within a production/manufacturing setting.
Strong background in manufacturing operations.
Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen etc.).
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Comfortable interpreting and analysing performance data.
Desirable
Knowledge about Finishing (Anodizing/Rumbling) would be preferred, however not essential.
