Job Description

An established life safety and critical infrastructure specialist is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression Engineer to work across high‑value, mission‑critical environments, including data centres and specialist sites across the UK and Europe.

This role offers a varied mix of installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding, with a strong focus on gaseous fire suppression systems.

The Role

Installation and commissioning of addressable fire alarm and fire suppression systems
Working on gaseous, chemical and water-based suppression systems
Service, maintenance and emergency call-out work on fixed fire suppression equipment
Commissioning of addressable and conventional systems
Completing certification, documentation and commissioning records
Working across specialist sectors, primarily within critical infrastructure / data centres
UK-wide travel with some European work (pre-booked)Systems Exposure

CO₂, FM200, FK‑5‑1‑12 (Novec 1230)
IG‑01, IG‑55, IG‑100, IG‑541
Water mist and associated suppression systems
Addressable fire systems (Notifier, Gent, Kentec, Advanced, etc.)What They’re Looking For

Proven experience working on fire suppression systems (essential)
Commissioning experience on gaseous systems
Good working knowledge of:
BS5839‑1
BS7273
BS6266
BS EN 15004
Able to work independently and problem-solve on site
Confident communicator with a professional approach to client-facing workRequirements

CSCS or ECS card
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
Positive, reliable and keen to continue developing technically
