Role Overview: As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of fire alarm systems across commercial, residential, and industrial premises. From routine maintenance visits to diagnosing complex faults, your work will ensure that clients are fully compliant with fire safety standards and that their systems remain operational and reliable. You will work with leading manufacturers such as Gent Advance, Kentec, C-Tec, Menvier, Fireguard, Hochiki, and Ziton, making this an excellent role for engineers with multi-brand experience or those keen to further develop their knowledge. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of fire alarm systems. Diagnose faults quickly and efficiently, providing effective repairs and solutions. Complete system testing, commissioning, and certification in line with industry standards. Prepare accurate reports on system status, faults found, and work completed. Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards (such as BS 5839-1), health & safety regulations, and company procedures. Deliver a high standard of customer service, acting as the face of the business on client sites. Liaise with clients to explain system issues and advise on recommended remedial work. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems. Knowledge of systems from manufacturers including Gent, Kentec, C-Tec, Menvier, Fireguard, Hochiki, or Ziton (training can be provided on certain systems if needed). Full UK driving license (essential). Strong diagnostic skills and technical understanding. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Based within a reasonable commuting distance to Glasgow. What's In It For You?
