Company Overview – Fire Alarms Engineer
A well-established fire and security company is seeking Fire Alarm Engineers to join its team. The company is open to engineers from a variety of backgrounds, as long as they are adaptable and eager to develop new skills to support the company’s expansion. You will need atleast 1-2 years experience as a minimum.
The role offers a varied workload with a strong focus on Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and remedial work, alongside service, maintenance, repair, and fault-finding tasks. Occasional installation work may also be required.
Training is available across multiple systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, and barriers. Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role.
Role Responsibilities – Fire Alarm Engineer
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
* Undertake remedial works
* Service and maintain fire alarm systems
* Conduct repairs and fault finding
* Carry out occasional installations
* Attend call-outs (rare) as part of the rota
Required Skills & Experience – Fire Alarms Engineer
* Experience in at least one core area: PPM, remedial work, service, maintenance, repair, fault finding, or installation
* Willingness to learn and develop additional skills across all listed disciplines
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
Preferred but Not Essential:
* Commissioning experience
* Programming knowledge
* Multi-system skills (e.g. emergency lighting, extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, gates, barriers)
