Key Responsibilities
* Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission fire and security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Maintenance & Servicing: Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of existing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant standards.
* Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Diagnose and rectify faults in fire and security systems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Customer Interaction: Engage with clients professionally, providing technical advice and recommendations for system upgrades or improvements.
* Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation in a timely manner.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience: At least 2 years of experience in servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting.
* Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIA, BAFE) are desirable.
* Driving License: Full UK driving license is essential.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
* Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Desirable Attributes
* Experience with IP-based and networked security systems.
* Knowledge of current British Standards and regulations related to fire and security systems.
