Fire & Security Service Engineer
Location: North West & Yorkshire
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (up to £40,000 for the right experience)
Callout: 1 in 4 rota (£50 standby - very low call volume)
I'm working with a well-established fire and security company that's looking to grow their team with a skilled Service, Commissioning and Small Works Engineer.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team. The company's focus is on service, commissioning, and small works, rather than large-scale installs - though if you've got installation experience, it'll definitely be a big advantage.
They're building a team where everyone gets involved and supports each other, but each engineer also has the chance to play to their own strengths.
The Role:
Service, commission and carry out small works on fire and security systems
Work mainly across the North West and Yorkshire
Take part in a 1-in-4 callout rota (£50 standby - very quiet, roughly one call every few months)
Optional work further afield - no one is forced to travel
The Package:
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (up to £40,000 DOE)
Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays, plus an extra day each year of service (up to 5 additional days)
Phone & support: Calls come through management first, so only genuine issues get passed on
Team culture: Supportive environment with room to grow and take ownership
The Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in fire and/or security systems (service, commissioning, or small works)
Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
Keen to join a company where your input is valued and you can grow with the business
