Fire & Security Engineer – Edinburgh | £42,000 + Van + Benefits
Location: Edinburgh & East of Scotland
Sector: Facilities Management / Fire & Security
Salary: £42,000 per annum + company van + overtime + benefits
The Role
We’re working with a leading Fire & Security provider looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their mobile maintenance team covering Edinburgh and the East of Scotland.
You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and carrying out PPMs across a portfolio of commercial contracts, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations. This role covers a wide range of fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out PPMs, servicing, and fault-finding on fire and security systems across commercial properties.
*
Diagnose and repair faults across fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
*
Complete compliance documentation and service reports accurately and on time.
*
Attend reactive maintenance callouts and ensure minimal system downtime.
*
Liaise with clients and internal teams to deliver a high level of service.
*
Work safely and in line with company and statutory regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Proven experience in Fire & Security service and maintenance, ideally within commercial environments.
*
Strong working knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm, access control, and intruder systems.
*
Relevant qualifications (e.g. FIA, ECS, or equivalent).
*
Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
*
Good communication and customer service skills.
*
Full UK driving licence required.
