Job Description
Security and Fire Systems Service Engineer
Full-time, Monday to Friday – 08.00-17.00
Greater London

Responsibilities:
•
Corrective maintenance works - to include fault finding, troubleshooting and a first-time fix whenever possible
•
Remedial and small works
•
Preventative maintenance
•
Client on site liaison
•
Working with monitored systems in liaison with our Alarm Receiving Centre
•
Completion of all required site and electronic paperwork promptly and with attention to detail
•
Demonstrate good industry knowledge of all required disciplines.
•
Participate in regular ongoing internal and external technical, regulatory, and health and safety training
•
Participate in out-of-hours On Call Rota
Key Skills:
•
Demonstrate good industry knowledge of all disciplines of integrated Security and Life Safety Systems.
•
Technically strong on electrical principles
•
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
Personal Attributes:
•
Good communication skills with both customers and colleagues
•
Multi-disciplined Service Engineer
•
Team orientated
•
Strong time-management skills
•
Confident user of Microsoft Office and working with networked/IP-based systems
•
Proactive
•
Able to run works autonomously
•
The ability to supervise and motivate other engineers
•
Self-motivated and willing to use initiative

Out of hours On Call is required roughly one week in six. £385/week standby payment, plus callouts at: £90 for travel to and first hour on site, your standard overtime rate for subsequent hours.
