On-call will be around 1 week in 5 i.e. full 7-day week (however, the business are currently looking to restructure the on-call so they have more than 1 engineer on-call at a time). The on-call rate is £90 per week and time and a half for travel and the hours worked whilst on-call. There are opportunities to undertake overtime. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (between 730am and 430pm). Engineers are not paid for the first 30mins of their travel time in the mornings. When on-call an engineer will be paid 1.5 rate for any travel time and hours worked in addition to the £90 per week on- call rate.
