ABOUT
As the National Service Director, you will lead, develop, and drive the Service function, ensuring operational excellence, commercial growth, and high-quality service delivery. This hands-on leadership role requires building and shaping a high-performing team, driving improvement through data and insight, and maintaining strong client relationships across a complex national operation. You will be visible at all levels, working closely with operational teams and senior management to deliver performance and strategic growth.

Responsibilities – National Service Director
As National Service Director, your role will include:
Leading the full Service function to ensure KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations are met.
Managing approx. 250 employees, including 3 direct reports (2 Regional Service Managers) and support teams.
Building a culture of accountability, proactive problem solving, and high performance.
Driving commercial growth through contract negotiation, renewals, and client engagement.
Using dashboards and service data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Reviewing and evolving departmental structure, processes, and operating models.
Ensuring compliance with all Fire & Security regulations, accreditations, and standards.
Collaborating with HR, Fleet, Operations, and Finance to align goals, control costs, and deliver improvements.
5–7+ years senior leadership experience in Fire & Security
Proven operational leadership of large, multi-layered teams
Experience in service contract management and commercial negotiation
Data-driven approach with track record of operational improvement
Knowledge of accredited environments (NSI, BAFE) and compliance standards
Ability to lead change, restructure teams, and embed consistent processes
Strong communication, leadership presence, and influence skills
