Fire & Security Service Engineer (Subcontractor)
Location: South Bristol / Bristol / South West (with occasional travel to Exeter & Plymouth)
Contract Length: 6 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Mileage: 80 miles included daily – additional mileage can be claimed
Overnight Stays: Not required, as the role is based around South Bristol and surrounding areas
V7 are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer for a 6-month subcontract assignment, supporting a well-established contractor operating across the South West.
You will be responsible for delivering PPM and reactive maintenance (break-fix) on fire and security systems across a portfolio of hotel sites, including Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, and nearby South West regions. This role offers a strong work-life balance, with minimal weekend or overtime requirements.
Key Requirements
A strong all-round, multiskilled fire & security service background
Proven experience fault-finding, servicing, and repairing both fire and security systems
Comfortable working across multiple hotel sites throughout the South West
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Must be able to provide a substitute engineer when necessary (IR35 compliance)
