Job Title: Fire Damper / Fire Stopper Engineer
Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £40k + Training & Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Fire Damper / Fire Stopper Engineer to work in and around the M25, across a range of commercial, food outlet and manufacturing client sites. You will be joining a privately owned Fire Protection outfit, who have a growing presence. They are ideally seeking someone with a robust background within the industry, who can undertake both Fire Damper testing, and Fire Stopping duties. The successful candidate can expect attractive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages.
Locations of work include: Epsom, Sutton, Croydon, Bromley, Orpington, Dartford, Gravesend, Sevenoaks, Crawley, Guildford, Aldershot, Woking, Camberley, Bracknell, Reading, Windsor, Watford, Harrow, Wembley, Enfield, Potters Bar, Barking, Ilford, Dagenham, Rainham, Romford, Hornchurch, Chigwell, Epping, Grays, Tilbury, Harlow, Beaconsfield, St Albans.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience undertaking Fire Damper testing and remedial duties
- Able to complete Fire Stopping duties, including batt and mastic works
- Ideally will hold the FIRAS ticket
- Will hold the Fire Damper testing ticket
- Strong working knowledge of BS9999 guidelines
- Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
The Role:
- Attending client sites to conduct testing and remedial duties on Fire Dampers, including: TEK screws, collars, ductwork removals and collars
- Cutting and installing access doors
- Hanging fire curtains
- Full fire stopping protection, such as: wraps, fire, putty, cavity barriers, batt and mastic
- Completing ductwork surveys and inspections
- Taking pre and post work photographs
- Completing regular service reports
- Working to agreed deadlines
- Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
- Adhering to HSE guidelines
