Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join a well-established passive fire protection contractor delivering projects across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and remediation of fire doors, ensuring all works are completed in accordance with current fire safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  * Installation of FD30 and FD60 fire door sets.

  * Carrying out fire door remedial works.

  * Upgrading existing fire doors to achieve compliance.

  * Installing and replacing ironmongery, intumescent strips and smoke seals.

  * Adjusting door frames, hinges, closers and latching mechanisms.

  * Completing fire door inspections and minor repairs where required.

  * Accurately completing quality assurance paperwork and installation records.

  * Ensuring all works comply with BM TRADA, FIRAS and relevant British Standards.

Requirements

  * Proven experience installing and remediating fire doors.

  * NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery

  * CSCS Card.

  * Full UK Driving Licence.

  * Good understanding of fire door regulations and compliance.

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
