Job Description
Please note you must have your own vehicle for this role as well as CSCS, and NVQ Level 2 in carpentry.
A leader in the provision of fire protection services and works within hopsital environments is looking for experienced fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames. The works will cover across the North West.
The successful candidate will have:
* At least two year’s experience working with fire doors
* A strong background in carpentry and joinery
* Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
* NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
* Experience installing fire doors and frames
* Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
* Experience working on FRA contracts
* Own van/transport to carry materials
Roles and responsibilities
* Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
* Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
* Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
* Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
* Liaise with customers and members of the general public
What's on offer?
* Fire door installations and remedial works on Hospital sites across the North West
* Travel time paid
* Self-employed works on a long term ongoing CIS basis.
* £220.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked
