Job Description
Fire Door Surveyor / Joiner
£31.25/hr
Cheshire region
Start date - Monday 2nd June
Our client, a well established contractor, require an experienced surveyor to carry out inspections of fire doors in buildings across the Cheshire area for a minimum 6 month period
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of providing first class surveying services within fire compartmentation
It is essential you have experience of fire doors and BM-Trada standards and important that you have a joinery background as there is a requirement to also ease/adjust fire doors to achieve the desired tolerances.
The ideal candidate will hold FDIS (Fire door inspection diploma) and CSCS
Day to day duties will include
Carry out formal door condition reports in line with the BM Trada certification scheme, which includes an intrusive / architrave survey and uploading into recording software
Generate data, produce and format all reports for door surveys, including executive summary, for submission to the Technical Director, ahead of client quotation submission
Carry out a production site measurement exercise for new doorsets and associated products such as side screens, fanlights and over panels
Attend tender / quotation handover meetings to operations team, where required, to gain full understanding of upcoming project specific requirements.
Ease and adjust doors where necessary
Works will take place in occupied building so it is imperative that you are polite and remain professional at all times.
