Job Description

Fire Door Installer
Salary: £38,000 per year (40 hours per week) + overtime
Benefits: 23 days holiday + bank holidays, company pension, company vehicle, tools provided

Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Fire Door Installer to carry out the installation of fire doorsets under a recognised third-party certification scheme. The role involves ensuring all products are installed correctly, safely, and in line with compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Install fire doorsets and carry out associated works on customer sites following approved installation processes.
• Prepare for site visits by safely loading doorsets, fittings, materials and tools into the company vehicle.
• Ensure safe and correct use of all tools and materials while on-site, maintaining a secure working environment.
• Check installed doorsets operate correctly and escalate issues to management if needed.
• Complete end-of-job tasks such as removing waste materials, collecting tools, returning unused items, and leaving the site clean and tidy.
• Maintain high levels of professionalism and deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow Health & Safety guidelines, complete required paperwork, and ensure compliance with certification standards.
• Keep the company vehicle and equipment clean, organised, and in good working order.
• Support warehouse operations when required, including storage and preparation of fire doors.
• Report risks or issues through the appropriate company systems.
• Carry out reasonable additional tasks to support business operations.

Person Specification
• Strong technical knowledge and practical installation skills.
• Clear communication and good customer interaction.
• Good concentration, attention to detail, and methodical working approach.
• Confident, positive, and able to build rapport quickly.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good decision-making using experience and company procedures.
• Motivated to learn and develop product knowledge.
• Flexible, adaptable, and proactive.

Required Experience
• At least 2 years in a similar installation role with hands-on tool experience.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Must be over 25 (insurance requirement).

Preferred Experience
• Fire door installation experience.

Package
• £35,000 for 40 hours per week + overtime.
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Auto-enrolment pension
