Job Title: Fire Door Installer – Social Housing Projects (London & Essex)
Location: Sites across London and Essex
Pay: £220 to £280 per day (depending on experience & qualifications)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Start: Immediate
Type: Long-Term Contract
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking skilled Fire Door Installers with experience working to BM Trada standards for ongoing work on both occupied and void social housing properties across London and Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected fire compliance and maintenance contractor with steady, long-term projects.

Requirements – You Must Have:

Proven experience installing fire doors to BM Trada standards
*
BM Trada experience (full accreditation not essential)
*
Valid CSCS card
*
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry or Fire Door Installation
*
Own tools, PPE, and reliable transport
*
Ability to work professionally in occupied properties
*
Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, frame fitting, and compliance
*
Good documentation skills for audit and QA purposes
Desirable (Not Essential):
*
BM Trada or FIRAS accreditationNVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry or Fire Door Installation
*
ASFP Level 2 or 3 training
Key Responsibilities:
*
Install and maintain fire doors, including frame fitting, ironmongery, and door-set adjustment
*
Work to BM Trada guidelines and manufacturer specifications
*
Carry out repairs and replacements where necessary
*
Ensure all works meet the latest fire safety regulations and third-party certification standards
*
Label and record completed works for audit and compliance records
*
Work safely and respectfully in both occupied and void homes
*
Communicate with site supervisors and compliance managers as required
*
Maintain high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail
