Fire Door Site Supervisor (Contract)
Location: Swansea
Rate: Up to £235 per day
Duration: 5 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Door Site Supervisor to support a live installation project based in Swansea. The role will involve overseeing works within a structured programme, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Working within a busy environment, you will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager and ensuring smooth day-to-day site operations.
The Role
We are seeking a Site Supervisor with a strong carpentry or fire door background, capable of managing site activities and ensuring compliance across all aspects of delivery.
You will be responsible for overseeing a fire door installation programme, coordinating operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
  * Oversee day-to-day site operations on a fire door installation project
  * Support the Project Manager in delivering works in line with programme and budget
  * Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with HSEQ standards
  * Monitor quality of installations and ensure compliance with required standards
  * Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and site activities
  * Plan and organise works, including short-term programmes and material requirements
  * Conduct regular site checks, including PPE, signage, and general site safety
  * Maintain a safe environment for residents, operatives, and the public
  * Produce weekly reports and provide updates to management
  * Carry out stock checks and ensure materials are available when required
  * Maintain strong communication with site teams and stakeholders
Requirements
  * Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on fire door or carpentry-based projects
  * Strong background in fire door installations or similar works
  * Ability to manage teams and coordinate site activities effectively
  * Good understanding of health & safety and site compliance
Certifications required:
  * SMSTS
  * CSCS Card
  * First Aid
  * Asbestos Awareness
  * Carpentry NVQ or relevant background
Additional Information
  * 5-week contract with immediate start
  * Site based in Swansea
