Job Title: Fire Engineer Industry: Fire Protection Services Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum Location: London Daniel Owen is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to start with one of our clients based within London. This Fire Alarm Engineer will be employed on a permanent basis and will be focusing on Fire Alarm and AOV's (Automatic Opening Vents) Job Description: You will need to be able to manage yourself whilst on site. Good understanding of technology, good organisation, and communication skills. Ability to work from steps and ladders, with an understanding of health and safety is essential. Duties and Responsibilities: Where necessary interpret fire alarm or AOV drawings and specifications for a Fire or AOV install and be able to work with these accordingly. Work safely and in accordance with current health and safety and Fire Alarm Regulations and standards. Demonstrate knowledge and competence in working with various Fire Alarm controls and equipment including Closed Protocol Systems. Complete scheduled servicing of Fire Alarm and AOV systems. Maintain and repair Fire Alarm and AOV Systems, including system adaptions. Complete full installations and upgrades of fire alarm systems. Complete all paperwork and job reports via the Oneserve application. Ensure all work conducted is in compliance with BS 7671 & BS 5839 Fire Alarm regulations. Attend and complete all company provided training sessions. Participate in performance improvement programmes and regular appraisals Liaise effectively with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries Adhere to any KPI's set by the company Perform any other duties as reasonably required by your line manager or company directors Required Skills, Attributes & Experience In-depth knowledge of the Fire & AOV industry Installation, maintenance, programming, servicing and commissioning experience. Strong understanding of fire safety standards and legislations A proactive and responsible approach to health and safety in the workplace. Ability to use mobile devices to complete electronic job sheets and certification accurately, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Highly organised and reliable. Takes ownership of outcomes with high degree of accountability and integrity. Qualifications Level 3 in Electrical installation. FIA training and certification. Minimum of 5 years experience in the fire safety industry. The FIA AO Level 3 in Fire Detection and Alarm Design Theory and Regulatory Requirements You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months Benefits We have built a team focused culture where our people work and collaborate together.
