About the Role
My client are seeking a Fire Protection Surveyor to join their growing fire protection division. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in passive fire protection and compartmentation surveying. The successful candidate will play a key role in surveying fire protection systems, identifying breaches, assigning remedial solutions, and producing clear, defensible reports to ensure compliance with national standards and regulations. This is a safety-critical role where attention to detail, technical accuracy, and professionalism are essential. * Use digital platforms (e.g. OneTrace, Bolster, Auditform, Oneserve) to log survey findings.
* Produce structured technical reports, marked-up drawings, and prioritised actions.
* Support pricing, programming, and project planning with accurate technical inputs.
* Liaise with manufacturers, contractors, and internal teams to validate solutions.
* Assist the Technical Manager with documentation, detail assignment, and workflow management.
About You
* NVQ Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent construction/fire safety qualification).
* Proven experience in compartmentation surveying and passive fire protection inspections.
* Strong knowledge of firestopping systems (batt & mastic, wraps, collars, cavity barriers, compound pours).
* Familiarity with regulations and standards (Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 8644).
* Proficient in technical reporting with digital survey tools.
* FRA awareness desirable (ability to interpret Fire Risk Assessments an advantage).
* SMSTS & First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain).
* IPAF and PASMA preferred.
* Full UK Driving Licence required, with flexibility to travel.
Key Competencies
* Excellent technical and reporting skills.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance awareness.
* Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Professional, proactive, and committed to safety and integrity.
* Team player who contributes to continuous improvement.

* Competitive salary: £35,000 – £55,000 plus package.
* Temp to perm pathway for long-term career development – initially will be paid a day rate until you are taken on as a PAYE employee.
