Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join a leading Housing provider in Nottinghamshire. This pivotal role involves conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments, audits, inspections, and surveys across various housing stocks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and minimise risk.
Day-to-day of the role:
Conduct fire risk assessments on Type 1, 2, and 3 buildings, ensuring 100% compliance across the property portfolio.
Work collaboratively with a team of Fire Risk Assessors, utilising extensive knowledge of the FRA process to holistically view and accurately communicate fire risks.
Identify and communicate necessary remedial works in assessments, ensuring they align with recommended timeframes.
Provide technical fire safety advice to colleagues and act as a point of contact for external organisations regarding fire safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong technical background with a clear understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey fire risk and good fire safety practices effectively.
Tier 2 accreditation via IFSM, or willingness to obtain it prior to employment.
Valid nationally recognised fire safety qualifications such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), or similar.
A recognised minimum grade 3 qualification within fire risk assessment such as the FPA, IFE, or similar, or registered by a competent body for FRA.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the fire safety industry, preferably with experience in carrying out FRAs in social housing.
