Job Description

Title: Fire Risk Assessor Salary: £50,929 Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time - Hybrid Location: Nottingham Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our Compliance Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting fire risk assessments, audits, and inspections across our housing stock, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and minimizing risk. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality assessments, provide technical fire safety advice, and contribute to a culture of fire safety excellence. Key Requirements Strong technical background with a clear understanding of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (2005) and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance documents Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate fire risk and good fire safety practice to all relevant persons Minimum of 2 years experience in the fire safety industry, with experience of carrying out fire risk assessments in social housing Hold Tier 2 accreditation via IFSM as a minimum (or be willing to obtain prior to employment) Valid nationally recognized fire safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) certification Nice to Have Skills Experience of working in a compliance or regulatory environment Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards and guidelines Experience of leading or managing a team Benefits (£48,382 - £50,929) 28 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part-time) 2 volunteering days per year for things like helping out in local communities An additional 'Beliefs day' once a year to have an extra day off Supported family-friendly approach with extended parental leave Enhanced pension with matched contributions of up to 9% Option to buy or sell up to 5 days annual leave per year Life assurance cover Cycle2work scheme Health cash plan scheme for your everyday healthcare needs Tenancy deposit - interest-free loan to help with rental deposits and season ticket loan Access to extensive learning and training opportunities with Wisebox platform Colleague virtual social platform with our workplace pages where you can keep up to date with the organisational activity and link in with colleagues Career progression across the organisation with our mentoring/coaching programmes, apprenticeships, and career planning support Employee Assistance Programme
