Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our Compliance Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting fire risk assessments, audits, and inspections across our housing stock, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and minimizing risk. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality assessments, provide technical fire safety advice, and contribute to a culture of fire safety excellence.
Key Requirements
Strong technical background with a clear understanding of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (2005) and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance documents
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate fire risk and good fire safety practice to all relevant persons
Minimum of 2 years experience in the fire safety industry, with experience of carrying out fire risk assessments in social housing
Hold Tier 2 accreditation via IFSM as a minimum (or be willing to obtain prior to employment)
Valid nationally recognized fire safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) certification
Nice to Have Skills
Experience of working in a compliance or regulatory environment
Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards and guidelines
Experience of leading or managing a team
