Job Title: Fire Risk Assessor
Location: Croydon, Greater London
Salary/Benefits: £28k - £50k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a multi-disciplined Environmental company, who are seeking a knowledgeable Fire Risk Assessor to cover contracts in the South East of England. Applicants must have existing experience of undertaking Fire Risk Assessments across a variety of client sites. Holding memberships such as IFE and / or IFSM would be beneficial. The company is a privately owned outfit who can offer competitive salaries as well as great cross-training opportunities.
Locations of work include: Croydon, Dartford, Bromley, Orpington, Gravesend, Epsom, Sutton, Kingston upon Thames, Southall, Sevenoaks, Caterham, Redhill, Oxted, Twickenham, Watford, Harrow, Southall, Windsor, Horley, Guildford, Enfield, Potters Bar, Cheshunt, Epping, Erith, Romford, Barking, Dagenham, Rainham, Grays, Tilbury, Crawley, Horsham, Royal Tunbridge Wells.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments across a mixed portfolio of sites
- Will hold the NEBOSH Fire qualification as a minimum
- It would be beneficial to hold the Level 4 in Fire Risk Assessing
- Strong technical knowledge
- Able to manage own workload
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Competent in using IT software such as: Microsoft Office Suite
The Role:
- Conducing thorough Fire Risk Assessments across Commercial, Local Authority and Industrial client sites
- Reviewing current safety plans on site and making recommendations for improvements
- Undertaking accident investigations and implementing improvements to avoid reoccurrences
- Compiling findings to produce reports
- Producing bespoke fire safety plans and drawings
- Leading on training courses for internal staff and clients
- Building and maintaining strong rapport with clients
- Meeting clients to discuss findings and to provide technical advice
