Job Description
Are you a Fire Safety Consultant looking for fresh challenges in a great team environment? Our dedicated and highly motivated fire safety team are passionate in delivering code compliant schemes for buildings up to 5 storeys in height across all sectors of industry, including complex education, retail, residential and industrial throughout the UK. At Salus we produce high-quality assessments, compile detailed reports and ensuring fire safety measures align with current regulations.
We will consider applicants based throughout the UK.
What will you be doing
* Creating fire strategy solutions and designing fire management plans for clients
* Supporting clients in developing a fire safety management system to British Standards
* Reviewing and implementing requirements under the new building safety management bill.
* Carrying out fire risk assessments.
* Carrying out inspections of work in progress and completed work and reporting on such to clients
* Delivering fire initiatives safety services to a range of clients across a range of sectors including housing, construction, retail and private healthcare
* Delivering exceptional service to clients – ensuring excellent written and verbal communications.
* Keeping up to date with industry standards and changes to legislation
What we're looking for
* The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of working in a similar role and understand client needs, delivering expert guidance and high-quality service.
* Ideally hold a relevant qualification in fire safety / fire engineering / fire risk engineering
* Have membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers, the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers or the Institute of Fire Safety Managers
* We are also looking towards the future and would welcome applications from candidates who would like to further their career within the profession
In order to excel in this role you need…
* Have a solid understanding of relevant building regulations approved documents.
* Experience working in a consultancy role within the property sector
* Be proficient in using fire risk assessment tools and report-writing software.
* Competence in applying fire safety engineering principles.
* A sound understanding of relevant Building Regulations and Approved Documents is essential.
