Job Title: Fire Stopper (Subcontractor)
Location: Swindon & Gloucester Area
Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: £180 – £190 per day (Outside IR35)
Payment: Weekly (Every Friday) – CIS Available
Expenses: Mileage (35p per mile) & Parking Reimbursed
Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Fire Stoppers for a 6-month subcontract role, working across residential sites in the Swindon and Gloucester area. This is a remedial fire stopping position, involving the use of Baston, mastics, and a range of industry-standard fire stopping materials.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out remedial fire stopping works on residential projects
* Apply mastic, Batt & Mastic systems, and other passive fire protection solutions
* Ensure all work is compliant with current fire safety regulations and project specifications
* Accurately complete documentation and reports related to fire stopping work
* Coordinate with site management and other trades when required
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (Essential)
* Proven experience in fire stopping (remedial works preferred)
* Own vehicle and tools
* Valid Basic DBS Check (or willingness to obtain before start)
* Ability to work independently and to a high standard
* CSCS card preferred
Additional Details:
* Subcontractor position – Outside IR35
* Paid weekly every Friday
* CIS payment option available
* Mileage and parking expenses covered at 35p per mile
