Job Title: Fire Stopping Engineer
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Salary/Benefits: £28k - £42k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a leading name within the Building Services and Compliance industry, with a nationwide presence and busy client portfolio. They are seeking a hardworking Fire Stopping Engineer in the North West of England, to cover new and existing client contracts. Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge as well as a comprehensive skillset. Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have strong experience working as a Fire Stopping / Passive Fire Engineer
- It is essential to hold the FIRAS ticket
- Ideally will hold the NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping
- Strong compliance guideline knowledge
- Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
- Good IT and literacy skills
The Role:
- Installing fire stopping systems, such as: batt, mastic, fire resistant sealants, firestop blocks
- Hanging fire curtains
- Conducting compartmentation surveys
- Inspecting existing and new installations, to ensure that they are functional and fitted correctly
- Identifying required remedial duties and actioning
- Interpreting technical drawings
- Working to agreed deadlines
- Ensuring to wear correct PPE at all times
- Completing regular service reports
