Job Title: Firmware Test Engineer
A global leader in sensors technology is looking for a Firmware Test Engineer with strong electronics and embedded systems experience to join their Bristol team on a 6-month contract. This role focuses on validating firmware performance within hardware-centric environments, ensuring reliability and functionality of complex electronic products.
You’ll create and execute structured test plans, automate test processes using scripting languages (Python/C), and carry out integration, regression, and system-level testing on physical devices. Collaboration with electronics, embedded firmware, and systems engineers will be key to identifying design issues early and ensuring robust product delivery.
Essential skills:
Firmware testing
Hands-on experience testing embedded systems in live hardware setups
Strong understanding of electronic systems and UI-driven embedded products
Scripting (Python / Bash), Jira, Zephyr, and debugging capabilities
