Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School First Aider/Nurse to join a supportive secondary school in the St Helens area. This is a long-term, full-time position, perfect for someone with a medical background who enjoys working with young people in an educational setting.
The Role:
As the school's First Aider/Nurse, you will:
Provide first aid and medical support to students and staff during the school day
Manage the medical room and maintain accurate health and incident records
Administer prescribed medication in line with school policy
Liaise with parents, carers, and healthcare professionals regarding student wellbeing
Support the wider pastoral and safeguarding teams when needed
Requirements:
✅ Relevant First Aid qualification or Nursing qualification (RGN/RN)
✅ Experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred)
✅ Strong communication and record-keeping skills
✅ A caring, calm and professional approach
✅ Must have the Right to Work in the UK
✅ Hold a Child-Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment
