Job Description
A growing engineering company located on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting for a Fitter to join their team.
This role is paying between £13 - £14 per hour and will be a temporary - permanent position for the right person.
This company have been established for over 10 years', have around 30 staff in total, have a large manufacturing facility and design & build bespoke equipment.
What does the position involve?
As a Fitter, you will be required to read from technical drawings
Mechanical fitting of bespoke products
Basic Electrical installations and assembly
This will be working in the yard and some of the duties can be physically demanding
Bolting exhaust systems into place
Using a counterbalance forklift to move equipment in the yard
Installing generator sets where required
Candidate requirements:
Background in metalwork or mechanical fitting
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Proficient user of hand/power tools
Valid forklift licence
Must be able to work within a team and to their own initiative
