Fleet Operations Manager (Bus & Taxi Services)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our clients fleet services, covering approximately 90 buses and supporting taxi operations. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant transport delivery while providing strong leadership to our driver workforce.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day fleet operations across bus and taxi services
*
Oversee and maintain compliance with operator’s licence requirements
*
Lead and support a team of drivers, supervisors, and support staff
*
Plan, maintain, and optimise driver rotas and scheduling
*
Ensure fleet availability, maintenance scheduling, and vehicle safety standards
*
Monitor operational performance and service delivery KPIs
*
Manage incident reporting, investigations, and resolution
*
Liaise with regulatory bodies, maintenance partners, and suppliers
*
Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of drivers
*
Drive service improvements, cost efficiencies, and customer satisfaction
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety, DVSA, and transport regulations
Qualifications & Experience
*
Operator’s Licence holder – essential
*
Strong experience managing a transport fleet (buses, taxis or similar)
*
Proven leadership experience managing operational teams, particularly drivers
*
Knowledge of transport compliance, safety, and regulatory frameworks
*
Experience in rota planning, workforce scheduling, and performance management
*
Strong organisational and communication skills
*
