No.: CJD(phone number removed)B Location: Based near Eastbourne Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a highly-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for lending their expertise to a range of civil engineering, flood risk, and surface water drainage projects, including residential developments, commercial developments, sports stadiums, and more. They are searching for a talented, experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside a growing team of professionals, based near the picturesque, coastal town of Eastbourne. Benefits for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include (but are not limited to): Highly competitive salary Company pension scheme Generous annual leave entitlement Extensive training and career progression opportunities Belonging to a friendly, supportive team that champions Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Responsibilities for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include: Contributing to an array of projects, including residential and commercial developments, sports stadiums and other venues, schools, rail and infrastructure, and more, across the public and private sectors Complete technical work in the mitigation of flood risk, including Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Estimation Reports Work with Drainage Strategies, and complete Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) design Utilise a range of software packages to produce technical work and designs, including MicroDrainage and AutoCAD Required skills and experience for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include: A Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology Prior experience of working in a UK consultancy setting, specifically in a design-based role Demonstrable experience of completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design Demonstrable competencies in Hydraulic Modelling Experience in designing a range of infrastructure projects Highly proficient in the use of MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and other relevant software Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Desirable skills and experience for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer include: Hold a full, valid UK driving licence Based in the South-East of England, with knowledge of the local area Excellent time management skills If you are interested in the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact the Civils and Hydrology Team at Penguin Recruitment.
