Job Role: Floor Layer
Location: Thatcham Court Care Home, Newbury
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Duration: 10 wet rooms before Christmas, followed by 50 straight after
Pay Rate (Worker): £20.00 – £25.00 per hour
Multi Trades Recruitment are seeking an experienced Floor Layer for a long-run wet-room refurbishment project within a care-home setting. The role requires someone who can install cap-and-cove safety flooring to a compliant standard with watertight finishes.
Role Overview
Key duties will include:
* Installation of cap-and-cove safety flooring across wet rooms
* Hot-welded joints and waterproof perimeter detailing
* Subfloor preparation, levelling and moisture barrier work
* Working closely with other trades to maintain project sequence
* Maintaining high cleanliness standards within a live care-home environment
* Consistent, high-quality finishes completed at pace
Project Description
A multi-room wet-room refurbishment programme including flooring, tiling, plumbing, painting and general finishing work. You will be responsible for taking each room from prepared surfaces to a fully installed capped and coved safety floor.
